Metal Detecting With The F2 Yields Copper & Bullets
Some old coin copper, misc junk and some weird ammunition comes out of a local city park today. Plus some really cool parking lot finds. Keep your eyes peeled folks! This was my first hunt in a few months. I only had a little time (an hour or so) to spend today so I spent it at detecting an abandon city park that is really overgrown with some trees lying on the ground. There was plenty of trashy signals out in the open which I didn’t dig. I’ve hunted this place before both with my analog detector and the Fisher F2 and this hunt is further proof that a place is really never hunted out.
To avoid digging up a bunch of stupid pop tops and pull tabs, I concentrate on areas of the park where people would have been playing baseball, jogging etc. I usually always discriminate out trashy signals everywhere else like around benches and picnic tables to save valuable time. Still no silver coins yet for 2013, but hey the fat lady isn’t singing yet! So until next time, keep your batteries fresh and happy hunting!
